Toolkit Policy

All Triplit toolkits are delivered digitally and are designed to support tenants with housing-related disputes in England and Wales. Please review our refund policy, digital delivery terms and permitted-use guidelines before purchasing. Your statutory consumer rights remain protected.

1. Geographic Scope

Triplit's housing-related toolkits are designed exclusively for residential tenancy matters in England and Wales. They are not intended for use in Scotland, Northern Ireland or any other jurisdiction. Housing law and procedures differ between jurisdictions, and our materials should not be relied upon for disputes outside England and Wales.

2. Nature of Our Products

Triplit provides general self-help information, educational materials and pre-prepared templates intended to help tenants understand potential issues and organise their own approach to a housing dispute. Our products may include letters, checklists, calculation guides, procedural information and template responses for use in pre-court correspondence. Our products are not a substitute for independent legal advice. Purchasing a toolkit does not mean that legal proceedings have been started, that you must go to court, or that your circumstances have been assessed by a solicitor.

3. No Solicitor-Client Relationship

Triplit does not act as your solicitor or establish a solicitor-client relationship through the sale or use of its standard digital products. Our general materials are not a personalised legal opinion on your individual circumstances. Unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement, we do not provide bespoke legal advice, represent you in court, contact your landlord or their representatives on your behalf, issue or file court proceedings for you, or manage your case. Any support included with a product is limited to the scope expressly described on that product's sales page. It does not constitute a promise of legal representation or a tailored legal assessment. You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions, including whether to send a letter, negotiate, seek independent advice or commence proceedings.

5. No Guarantee of Outcome

Every housing dispute depends on its particular facts, evidence, applicable law and procedural requirements. We do not guarantee that a landlord will respond, that a settlement will be reached, that a claim will succeed, or that any particular sum will be recovered. Examples, calculations and template wording are illustrative tools. They are not assurances that a particular legal remedy is available or that a particular amount will be awarded. You are responsible for checking that a template is suitable for your circumstances, that all information entered is accurate, and that any applicable deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

6. Pre-Court Action and Legal Proceedings

Our toolkits are intended primarily to assist with self-help and pre-court steps, including correspondence and attempts to resolve disputes. Buying or using a toolkit does not automatically commence court proceedings or require you to bring a claim.

If you choose to pursue a claim, you remain responsible for following the applicable legal process, submitting any required documents and complying with relevant deadlines. You should obtain independent legal advice where appropriate.

7. Accuracy and Updates

We take reasonable care to prepare our materials using information relevant to England and Wales. However, laws, regulations, guidance and court procedures can change. We do not guarantee that every resource will reflect every legal development or procedural change at the time you use it. You should check current official guidance and seek qualified advice where necessary. Triplit is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of general information in a toolkit, subject always to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Permitted Use and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Triplit's toolkits, templates, guides, wording, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to Triplit and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. A purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, access, edit and use the purchased materials for your own tenancy-related matter. You may complete, adapt and send the templates to your landlord, letting agent, local authority or other relevant party as part of your own dispute. You must not resell, redistribute, publish, share with other purchasers, commercially exploit or present our materials as your own products. You must not upload or distribute the files in a way that gives others unauthorised access.

9. Pricing and Digital Delivery

Prices and product contents will be displayed on the relevant sales page before purchase. After successful payment, digital products will be delivered using the method stated at checkout, such as an email containing a download link.

You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and having a compatible device and software to access the files. If you experience a delivery or access problem, contact [teamtriplit@gmail.com] for assistance.

10. Refunds and Consumer Rights

Refunds and cancellation requests are handled under our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes or restricts your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or other applicable consumer protection legislation. Where immediate digital delivery is requested, any loss of a statutory cancellation right will apply only where the legal requirements for that loss have been satisfied.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to the above, Triplit is not responsible for losses arising from a user's independent legal decisions, inaccurate information supplied by the user, failure to verify current legal requirements, or use of a template in circumstances for which it was not designed. Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.

  1. Dedicated Support

Customers may contact Triplit with questions about the toolkit, its contents, how to use the templates, or general information about the process they are designed to support. We can provide educational guidance to help customers understand and use the materials effectively as well as other matters pertaining to housing civil claims. This support does not include legal advice, bespoke legal assessments, recommendations tailored to individual circumstances, or legal representation. Customers remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

  1. Potential Recovery of Toolkit Costs

The cost of purchasing a Triplit toolkit may be raised during pre-court negotiations when seeking to resolve a housing dispute. You may explain that the toolkit was purchased to help you understand the relevant process, prepare correspondence and organise your position. However, reimbursement is not automatic or guaranteed. Whether the cost can be recovered depends on the circumstances, the legal basis of the claim and whether the other party agrees to pay it or a court considers it recoverable under the applicable rules. CPR 46.5 concerns certain costs recoverable by litigants in person where a court orders another party to pay their costs. It does not, by itself, establish that the purchase price of a self-help toolkit is recoverable. Triplit therefore makes no representation that toolkit costs will be reimbursed, awarded by a court or accepted by the other party. Any request for reimbursement is made at your own discretion and risk.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you. Where a dispute arises, the parties should first attempt to resolve it through reasonable communication. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

Return Policy

1. Digital Products

'Triplit' sells digital self-help toolkits and downloadable templates designed to help tenants in England and Wales understand and prepare for the pre-court stages of a housing dispute. All products are supplied digitally. No physical items are shipped.

  1. Change of Mind and Cancellation

Because our products are digital downloads, we generally do not offer voluntary refunds once the digital content has been supplied and the customer's statutory cancellation rights have been validly waived.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation period for online purchases. If you request immediate access to a digital download, you will be asked to give your express consent to the supply beginning immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once the download or supply begins.

If you do not provide this consent and acknowledgement, your cancellation rights will continue to apply as required by law.

3. Faulty or Incorrect Digital Products

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected by this policy. If a toolkit is corrupted, cannot be accessed due to a fault on our side, materially differs from its description, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us at teamtriplit@gmail.com. Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement, repair, price reduction or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

4. Download and Delivery Issues

If you have completed your purchase but have not received your download link, or cannot access the files, please contact us at [teamtriplit@gmail.com]. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue or provide an accessible replacement. Please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.

5. No Guarantee of Legal or Financial Outcomes

Our toolkits provide general self-help resources and templates. We cannot guarantee that a landlord, letting agent, local authority or court will accept your position, agree to a settlement, or award compensation. A purchase is not refundable solely because a dispute does not result in the outcome you hoped for, provided the product has been supplied in conformity with the contract and applicable law.
